Consular Corps College COVID International Ingenuity Report

The Consular Corps College

Welcome to the website of the Consular Corps College, the national association of foreign consuls and honorary consuls serving in the United States.  For over fifty years, we are honored to provide essential resources to the diplomatic community: the newest information and training for best practices in the execution of consular duties; an ongoing connection with key U.S. government officials and organizations; and professional fellowship among all international consular officers serving in the United States.

According to the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, ratified by 180 countries, primary consular duties are “protecting in the receiving State the interests of the sending State and of its nationals, both individuals and bodies corporate, within the limits permitted by international law” and “furthering the development of commercial, economic, cultural and scientific relations between the sending State and the receiving State.”  The Consular Corps College supports meeting  these duties with excellence, through online and in person seminars, publications, symposia, one-on-one mentorship and networking.
